Master Michael Richards: 6th Dan Black Belt

Master Richards started out taking classes in Marion, IN at Bowls Taekwondo academy when he was just a young teenager.  He joined Mudokwan Martial Arts USA in 1986.  Master Richards has now earned his 6th degree black belt.  Master Richards has created several State and National Champions, and Black Belts under Mudokwan and Kukkiwon out of Seoul, Korea.  Master Richards continues to strive to help the children and his community to fight against crime and to make leaders in our community.

Master Richards trains his students under the ancient code of conduct and tenets of Taekwondo that was developed by the ancient hwarangdo warriors of Silla, a small country in Korea.  Master Richards teaches his students to be disciplined, loyal, respectful, and to have fun in learning.

Master Richards is the owner and Head Instructor at Mudokwan Martial Arts in Marion, IN.  Master Richards is also the Indiana AAU Taekwondo Sports Director and is Kukkiwon Certified.

 
Master Bob Vernatter: 5th Dan Black Belt

Bob Vernatter started his initial martial arts training in 1974 under Eugene McGuire.  After an extended layoff Bob began training under Master Dennis Thompson achieving the rank of 4th Dan in 1999.  In 2006, after another forced layoff, Bob attained his present rank of 5th Dan.  Bob trained in Modern Arnis under the direction of Professor Remy Presas and worked out under Professor Wally Jay in small circle jiu-jitsu, as well as Master Mike Barnett in Pressure Point Control Tactics.

Bob has been a certified AAU coach at both the state and national level as well as an AAU certified official at the state level.  He has trained several gold medal winners in forms and sparring at the local and regional levels as well as training medalists at the national level.  One of his proudest moments was to comprise a blue ribbon performance in performing arts for an Indiana Junior Miss Contest.

Bob's leadership in the UTF has varied from chief of testing, organizing and operating Camp Kick, formulate along with Master Thompson many of the hyungs used in the UTF, assisting with the development of the demo team, and originating the adaptation of the UTF forms to music.

 
   
 
Cody Reynolds: 1st Dan Black Belt
Cody earned his black belt in August of 2006.  He helps instruct at the Rochester School.
